Prayers go out for Guy Lewis' family and friends. Unfortunately those Houston teams choked in the big game. Guy Lewis choked big in 1966-1967,1967-1968 and 1982-1984.

.Those losses were coming to UCLA, UNC and Georgetowns of the world. That's hardly choking. Probably the one time they felt like they choked a little was against NC State... and we know how Cinderella-ish that team was.

They blew a 13 point lead (38-25) vs a much less talented team mostly because of missed free throws but in their defense there is no way that NC St wins that game if there had been a shot clock. '83 Houston is one of the most exciting teams in college history. Clyde Drexler's dunk over Andre Turner (Memphis State) in the Sweet 16 is the best dunk I've ever seen in college basketball and his double clutch dunk vs Louisville is in the top 5. That was an awesome team.
