Jurick says he hasn’t committed yet By MIKE GRIFFITH, KNSGRIFF@AOL.COM
April 25, 2007
Tennessee prospect Philip Jurick said Wednesday afternoon he’s heard the news that he has committed to play basketball for the Vols. "I heard about that in school today,’’ Jurick said. "It’s not done, but it’s a possibility.’’
Jurick, a 6-foot-11, 255-pound center from East Ridge High School averaged 15 points, 16 rebounds and nine blocked shots per game in leading the Pioneers to a 27-5 record.

"I guess the word around Chattanooga is that it’s done, but I’m still on my way up for my visit,’’ said Jurick, who was traveling to Knoxville with his mother. "I’m not mad about it or anything. I just want to talk to Coach (Bruce) Pearl.’’

Jurick told the News Sentinel he would make a decision very soon, but that he was still considering Indiana.
WRCB Channel 3 in Chattanooga reported that he plans to announce his commitment to the Vols following his trip.

I know he's committed, don't get me twisted, I just wanted to know if this was prior to the VolQuest article?
