If you like photographic realism in art, check out the work of Bev Doolittle, if you aren't already familiar with her. She single-handedly invented the genre of "camouflage art," of which this is a classic example: Artifacts Gallery - Forest Has Eyes, The. How many faces or partial faces do you see embedded in that print?

Impressive skill. No denying that.

I've never been a big fan of ultra photo realism though. Kin like my paintings to look like paintings. I want to see the brush strokes.
