I searched for a similar thread but couldn't find any. I was hoping to see if we could come to any consensus on who would be the 'Final Four' in the plus one bowl scenario. Who would be the four? Thanks.

Here are my picks (if anybody wants to play along).

1. Florida
2. Oklahoma
3. Utah
4. USC

Any way you go, you're going to leave out one maybe two worthy teams. I left out Texas and Alabama.

Winner of Florida/OU
USC
Utah
Texas

Before bowls
Florida
OU
Utah

I think it would be Florida, Texas, USC, and Oklahoma. Utah would still have been left out in a four team playoff- right or wrong.

Trying to justify a butt woopin. Bottom line is, a team finally exposed JPW for what he really is.

The link below is to an article saying Alabama fans thought Utah was better than UF. Sounds like sour grapes to me.

Utah Is Better Than Florida, Says Alabama Fan | Bleacher Report

Isnt that the same bammer fool that wrote the Lane Kiffin hire was absolutely terrible and it will leave UT in the bottom of the SEC for years with the likes of Vandy and UK. And that the Mullen hire was by far the best of the SEC hires. Utah is good but they are def not nearly as good a UF.

1. Florida
2. Oklahoma
3. Alabama
4. Texas

Listen I agree Florida is a far superior team than Utah. The stats never tell the whole story (like Tennessee's top 5 national defense this year).

I'm just saying there is no way we could have a simple plus one this year. Somebody would get left out that deserved a shot.

BTW...what did OU do to make Texas' neutral field victory over them inconsequential??? (for the record, I think OU is a better ball club)

I think i am one of the only people left that HATE seeing teams like Utah or Boise st. rewarded for playing such terrible schedules?....while it may be true once every blue moon they have a team that can compete with the big boys on the field, they did not complete the body of work to earn their place to be there and get all that BCS money. Move to a BCS conference if you want the BCS money.

Then, does the Big East deserve a BCS bid over the Mountain West? I don't think so.

Agreed, but don't forget Texas removed Utah from their schedule prior to this football season. The only way to eliminate the colluded BCS nightmare is a simple Div. 1AA playoff format. Settle it on the field not in a hard drive.

Honestly, alot of conference reorganizing needs to be done and could be very simple, add utah and boise to pac 10, notre dame to big 10, and add ECU, UAB, Navy, and ball st. to big east and take the champion of each of the 6 plus two at large to make 8 team playoff, but ill never support a playoff until all conferences play championship game

I would say beating 3 top 20 teams back-to-back-to-back and putting over 60 points on each to close the season probably had something to do with it.

I could tell you were new with the number of posts so I was seeing if you new we had one. That's all. You'll have to develop thick skin if you plan on being around long.
