Very disappointed. Tatum and Golden with another mediocre performance, Maymon started strong, but vanished later on. I'm unable to pull any positives from this one. Still, it's just one game... chill pills for everyone.

Regardless of the loss, I hope you enjoy.

A very sad day! I guess we have to hit rock bottom in basketball too and then build from there. signed: Derek Dooley and Phil Fulmer!

Well, I did think of one positive thing.... the half-time entertainment. For some reason, I found watching mascots playing basketball with students that can't draw iron pretty funny.

Amazing work, yet again. Thanks for keeping this up. Coolest thing we've had in the Bball Forum since willieboy first graced us with his awesomeness.

I also am now using your Richardson/schedule wallpaper. Thanks, brah!

Nice pics as usual.

I wish we could play defense in particular and basketball in general as well as your pictures look.

Mind sharing your gear setup? Photography is a bit of a side hobby for me. Always curious about what the other guy is using.

Sure... for now I'm shooting with a Canon 400D (Rebel XTi) and my Sigma 70-200 2.8 that I bought a few weeks ago. The XTi has hacked firmware so it go above ISO1600.

Next thing will be a body upgrade, most likely a 50D. It's still just a hobby thing for me, at least for now, so I can't justify spending hundreds and thousands on equipment all the time.

You'll love this lens if you ever want to upgrade.

Thanks to you both for the hardware info and suggestions. Gonna add both those lenses to my xmas "wish list". Maybe there'll be a nice little package under my tree in a couple of weeks!!

The IS would be nice for street and wildlife photography. But optically, the Sigma isn't too far behind the Canon. I almost bought a non-IS Canon 70-200L 2.8, but I didn't think it was worth >$400 more than the Sigma. One day I'll make the upgrade, though.

Yep, you wouldn't use the IS for any shots you've been taking in hoops (and your Sigma takes great shots). I never use the IS for sports obviously. I just rarely change it out because it is such a great all around lens for almost any occasion. I'll swap it out for the fixed 50mm 2.0 at times, but I use it 90% of the time inside and outside. I love it.
