What can I say, other than **** yeah! Great game... CCM finally proved himself as a truly capable coach. Atmosphere was MUCH better than I expected... the crowd gave me chill bumps several times.

On a side note, this was my first time sitting by the bench (visitor's)... man, what a bunch of whiny bishes.

Anyway, here are the pics... not by best effort, but I was pleased. Hope you enjoy.

How many people were there today, l3rewski? Upper deck looked like it had a lot of empty seats to start the game but filled in after the game started. With the students still out and a horrible early tip off time, I wondered what kind of crowd we would have.

I'm not very good at estimating, but I'd say ~16,000? There were quite a few students, actually. The whole place looked sparse at first, but like you said, people filled in quickly. Not quite a packed house, but the energy was really good for TBA.

Outstanding pix, man. Pair that 2.8 Sigma lens with an upgraded body and your pix will be even better. You've obviously got a good eye.

Thanks! You're definitely right on the body upgrade. The XTi is SLOW slow... I have one attempt at quick action and that's it. Kind of embarrassing sitting next to a guy with a 1D or 7D with 8-10 frames per second. :no:
