If he waits until the spring, St. John's becomes the wildcard. If they reach the 'AAs and get some positive momentum or fall apart and replace Norm with a high profile coach, they'd be better positioned than they are now.Yeah I think its us and villanova for this kid jmo.

Ah... Good point. I'm not really all that happy about thsi recruiting class bruce has right now.

Why not?
We have two four star guards, one who's a borderline top 25 player in the country. Unless you think recruiting for this year is finished (which, yes, would be a problem), I don't see how someone could be disatisfied with Golden and McRae, two really nice players.
I said right now... i believe Bruce will get either Harris or Pinkston but i dont see that happening i just think we gotta get one big guy.
OK, I thought you were saying that recruiting was going terrible thus far, which I would disgree with certainly. However, recruiting is a funny animal, you can't really assess it until the end. We could get nothing in the fall and get three nice players in the spring, you never know.
Yeah the year Bruce recruited the best was Scotty Hopson year... which we really didnt pick up steam till teams realized how good we were doing i think if we go to the elite 8 this year then recruiting will be good but if we dont make the sweet 16 we could be stuck with just these two.
NYCHoops.net spoke with Pinkston about the swirling new rumor. It is no big secret that Tennessee Coach Bruce Pearl is on the hunt for two top NY Prospects, Pinkston and Tobias Harris. When asked is the rumor true that he verbal to the Vols? Pinkston sliced down the rumor saying, "No I haven't committed nowhere."
The Rivals four star then went on to say he is still eager to hit the road and plans on taking future visits. "After I take my SAT which is next week me and Kimani (Young) will start planning. I might go down to Tennessee to watch their Kentucky game," said Pinkston.
Right now, Pinkston still holds strong and fast to his top three, "Villanova, St Johns, and Tennessee," said Pinkston.
Pinkston’s situation is a little harder to get a read on, but more and more we’re hearing things that make us think Tennessee has put itself in very good position. As we’ve said before, it’s hard not to read quite a bit of significance into the timing of the recent unofficial visit Pinkston made to Knoxville.
Furthermore, it’s worth noting that he didn’t show up at Villanova for a visit last weekend like some had thought.
Finally, we’re getting more than a few signals that Pinkston is leaning hard towards signing in the early period, something his AAU Coach/spokesperson Kimani Young has been noncommittal on.
If he does indeed sign in November, the feeling here is that it will be good news for Tennessee.
