I don't know about injuries, but I would speculate that integrating her into the lineup is getting lost in the larger shuffle of both finding an actual lineup and winning the early out of conference games. If Tennessee were showing more dominance game to game, I think you would have seen more of her to this point. She very much looks like a freshman out there, one who needs some time to adjust to the speed and physicality of the college game - or that is, the college game as experienced via Tennessee's schedule.

Has she been injured or just having trouble earning floor time?

She was late getting to campus because she was with USA basketball. I vaguely recall her missing some additional time this summer but I can’t remember if it was injury or illness. Then factor in the concussion. So she’s missed several practices which can really set a Freshman back. Last game she looked a lot more comfortable. I think we’ll see her a little more as the season progresses.

Justine is a true freshman and needs a little time to gain strength and lateral movement. She shoots the ball well but her defense needs work (just like all freshmen). She's getting a good amount of minutes when she is available for play.
You can see physical strength is her biggest problem. We'll see a different player as a sophomore and I think she will do a lot of good things this year as well.

Considering how she played I'm assuming that is why she doesn't get alot of time. She looked extremely awkward and weak compared to the competition. She looks out of place almost like she doesn't know what to do when she is in the game

If this be the case (not arguing, just asking for an opinion) why would you put her on the squad?? Bad recruiting or seeing a future big time player and thinking we have enough time to develop her?

I don't think it's she is a bad player at all maybe just the transition from HS to SEC she is a little below where she needs to be. Weight room and so development will help and I think she will be a solid 3pt threat in coming years if she sticks around and doesn't hit the portal

She will get better as she learns the system. Give her a little time and we will see what happens.

On paper, she wasn't needed for this year with the more experienced players on the roster. Truthfully, she still wouldn't be needed this year if other players (i.e. Puckett, Suarez) stepped things up this year. Next year will be a different story.

Yes. She needs to eat eat eat and lift weights. Next year, we will have a wing spot open for her.

This year, watch closely and learn.

Ideally she would have been a candidate for a RS- but believe she is over by a game now.

All Justine needs to acclimate to the college game is more time playing it on this level.
I have watched this kid for two years. She will be fine
You have watched high school games. This is high level D1 basketball. She will be ok in the long run. Right now she is not physically strong or tough enough to play well at this level. She will be very good, but this is a different game than high school.

Yea not worried about Pissott at all , once she gets a college worthy weight regiment along with more defensive footwork drills she will be a star in the future. Not concerned 1 bit about her future. She has the game offensively from 3 and she can only go up from here.

Justine will be fine, she is elite, give her the time needed to adjust. Betting her sophomore year is way better. She will need some help next year, if Jordy and Kea go pro. Kelly needs to be strong in the portal this offseason, 2023-2024 needs some influx of talent.

I am more concerned with our experienced players getting up to speed and playing up to their potential than Justine, I believe she will be just fine. I think she will also get her turn on the floor, because she is a good shooter whose defense will catch up with her offense. I also believe our overall team will get better.
