Pitt already has 9 games under their belt and I think play atleast one more before we play 'em. In your opinion, does that hurt or help UT with the long break they have? I guess you could argue that UT has a lot of time to plan for Pitt but it seems to me teams are more sluggish when they take a break like that. I'd rather be in Pitts shoes, as far as scheduling goes, against a top opponent.

Mannn we need this game. UT has done very well against the mighty BE in the past few years and its going to look terrible for the SEC after UK got handled so easily to UConn. It would be nice to go 3-0 against the BE in the regular season and then knock off a couple more in the tourney! :)

I think it's always hard to tell how a team will come out and play after days off. I want to say the extra time to put in the scout and prepare for this game individually will help but I also know that they could come out flat and take a while to get any type of rhythm.

pittsburgh will be ready for it. they have more to play for than we do like their ranking and home crowd. what do you expect from the vols?

Pitt does not have a high powered offense, no player able to completely take a game over and doesn't have any gimmicks such as a press or 1-3-1 zone. This means if we play the suffocating defense that we are capable of then we should be in this game.

With so much time to prepare, It would seem we have a distinct advantage in this game. If we get production from Scotty and Tobias and force a few turnovers for easy points we win this one.

I don't think it'll impact us too much, Pitt is just good. I think we lose by about 6 points.

I wish we played a sucky team on Friday. Just to continue momentum.

They play very physical. It will be interesting to see how we respond, especially our post players.

Do you realize what a win at Pitt would mean for us this season? It would launch us into the top ten and grab us a ton of positive media attention. Beating two top Big East teams at what can loosely be called neutral sites would do wonders for the momentum of this team. I get more anxious every day for this game.

If we can get McGee in fould trouble early, we can dominate the glass and with a few pts off turnovers, I can see us winning this game by 8-12 pts. The same can be said in reverse though. If Hopson and B Will get in early foul trouble this game could get out of hand with the rowdy crowd that Pitt is sure to have.

Go Vols!!!
