I am watching Pitt, with Peterman at qb play at Va Tech. Pitt has just gone up 17-7 early in the 2nd half. It is rainy with both teams mostly running the ball.

It's also being played in a torrential downpour. Just have to take care of the ball in this type of game.

Jim Chaney's play calling still sucks, I see.

I'm seriously amazed that Nate Peterman has thrown a single TD pass all season. He didn't look capable of hitting a wide open WR in the end zone that was standing 5 feet away from him while playing at UT.

I saw the 2nd half, and Peterman did everything asked of him. The announcers were impressed how well that Peterman sold the fakes on play action. He threw the ball accurately, and managed the game well, hitting some key 3rd down passes, one out of his own end zone.

That's amazing. Really happy for him. He clearly had some talent coming out of high school.

Pitt won the game 17-13. While they were showing some game highlights, one announcer just said that he was really impressed with Peterman, and that it was the first time that he had seen him play, and that he added productivity to the offense.

He went on to say that he sold the play fake by hiding the ball on his hip, and that gave the receivers more time to get open. Also, Peterman threw the ball well on the run, and displayed cool and calm in the pocket. So help me, that's what he observed.

Great to hear! Hit so sick of him being a doormat on this forum and social media by so called VFL's who think its wrong to criticize a guy making $3 mil but totally cool to trash a player like Peterman who happened to get his oops at worst possible times.. Hope he continues to do well. I anticipate a "is that you Mrs Peterman?" Joke in 3....2....1...

I took up for him on this forum when he was here, and said that he just needed to get some meaningful snaps against lesser competition to gain some confidence. I was ridiculed, and called names.

I think that Va Tech took either 7 or 9 sacks. Not great footing to evade the rush.

no it wasn't great footing for the VT QB...he was terrible held the ball way too long and he was hurt at the end..I think they get Brewer back in a couple of weeks

Peterman ended up 9-15 110 yards, one TD.
He was 4-7 for 52 yards in the 2nd half while I was watching. The 3 incompletions were a drop of a perfectly thrown pass over the middle, a bomb that was touched, but just off the fingertips of the receiver, and a 30 yard perfectly thrown post pattern , broken up at the last second at the goal line.

Every pass that I saw was about perfect.
