Missouri was ready to play. They had an objective and they were hungry. They played like their hair was on fire. If we were going to beat them then it was going to be earned. The RB Schrader is a good player. He puts his heart into the game. You win with kids like that eventually.

With the said, the Vols were not ready to play. We did not finish plays on defense and we were constantly out of position. I think the fact the defense could not get off the field started impacting the offense. The Wright fumble seemed to just kill the team when we were driving for a possible lead to go into the half.

Sadly we should've feasted on defense. Missouri got most of their yards with dump offs to the RB and inside runs. That is something I would've expected was to our advantage. I would've taken out any player that was missing plays in the open field but who calls the defense if the guy struggling is the play caller on the field.

Sometimes you tell a team to hold your head high after a loss when they gave their all but after this performance I can't give that advice. They've been in every game this year and I would not have thought it would be Missouri who embarrasses them.

8-4 at this point. Enjoy the Georgia game for all who have tickets when the result is probably a foregone conclusion.

The 2023 UT Vols Are barely a top 25 team. Their problem is the same one that has reared it's head in all of the defeats they've charted. Their offense just disappears the longer the game goes against quality teams.

Missouri left no doubt who had the better players, coaching and game plan.

Just whipped in the booth, on the sidelines and on the field.

Sometimes you have to sit in stunned silence with that what just happened feeling as we do everything to take ourselves out the game .

I honestly shouldn't be surprised how the defense looked.

Yeah they made the plays and we thought we were Kentucky.

I still think we had more talent on the field, no juice though!
