Plastic Or Metal

Does anyone know if we have plastic or metal chairs court-side?

If we have metal, we may need to replace them if Bobby gets the job. Just to be on the safe side, those metal chairs can really leave a mark, not to mention scratch up the floor. It might lessen our liabilities at some point. :naughty:

I do support Hamilton's decision to fire Buzz. I am quite disturbed over that article in the Tennessean though. If Mike had already hired a search group then he should have told Buzz before he hired them. I can't imagine any of us here would like to find out that we were being replaced by second-hand information.

I don't know if this is how it happened, but if it is, Buzz has a reason to be upset.

As for Bobby Knight; don't stand beside him at the salad-bar.

UT will still pay him the remainder of his contract, I wouldn't want to go out that way, but if I knew that my paycheck was gonna keep coming I wouldn't go as far as calling it torture those last few days, I'd say "See ya, I'll send my address so you can forward my check." If I get fired tomorrow all I have to look forward to is a piddly unemployment check for a while. Excuse me if I don't feel too sorry for Buzz, but I wish him well.

If they hire Bobby Knight they won't need chairs or seats in the arena because everybody will be standing up and cheering. Sorry about you old geezers. I guess you can't come to the arena to snooze and swap war stories and recipes anymore. The Knight is bringing the arena to life! YEEEEHAA!

Excellent! We can sell the chairs to pay for the 3 coaches who will still be on the payroll.

Anything that's left over can go for our Geritol.

I was watching WBIR news and if I'm not mistaking I believe I heard him say he would quit before he took our job.....I'm not really sure how he meant that but it sounded to me, like he didn't want it....Who knows....I wish we would get him though

I heard he himself approached TN about the job. Don't read anything into the interview. He danced all around the question without answering it. He's not going to say anything until the tournament is over. Sportstalk reported that friends close to Knight had said that Bobby would walk from Texas to Tennessee to get the job.

I've been to Lubbock. I'd run not walk to East Tennesse. Regardless of my success there or the paycheck.

As for Buzz and his statement that he's a coach and he'll find a job somewhere, he better quit whining and go out gracefully, regardless of Hamilton's handling of the situaiton or he won't see many head coach offers. He'll be back in the small time.

I'd say UT ANYTHING is the big time. And if BK comes, you better believe that hoops will be included. People are already talking about season tickets and going to games (because they WANT to, not for lack of anything else to do, which is the way it's seemed for a number of years).
