Someone said they saw Maymon taking warm ups.
Any truth or was he just wearing them?

He was dressed in warm ups, but I didn't notice him actually doing stuff. Could have missed it though, but he was at least dressed in the warm up pants and shirt.

Wait, no, I don't think he was doing warm ups. I saw him sitting on the bench when I first got there while the rest of the team was on the court.

Yea I'd be surprised if he was doing warmups. Latest reports are he's just now walking without crutches, and can't run even on a treadmill, don't see him in a layup line.

Big win for this team with Stokes playing limited minutes and having to find other contributors.

Armani Moore seems to be in oblivion. Or Bolivia. He was actually the new comer i thought would have the biggest impact this season. I wasn't able to watch more than the first 5 minutes, but the Lopez kid looks fiesty.

I've run into Maymon. Just go to the Waffle House on Papermill. Those guys are there every week for lunch. Anyway, last I saw him, he was limping badly. I'd be shocked to see him this year.

He seemed to be pretty animated last night on the bench and he was walking around without crutches, hopefully that is a good sign.

How bout that Marshall?

Fwiw Rob Lewis said the reasoning for Lopez now being the backup is because Moore was really struggling to stay in front of his man. Said Lopez has shown good defense in practice and obviously we all know with Martin he's big on defense. Said the staff still likes Moore's potential but that it may be at the wing moving forward.

Well, I'm more a UT fan than a Gregg Marshall fac. But, if we are going to judge a coach like that, then we should have Butch Jones fired because he lost to Dooley. Of course we all think that CBJs is a far better coach than Dooley.
In fact, I predicted a UT win. Black words on a white page.

I still think Marshall is a better coach. Particulary when you look at the total resume. Not even close. Hey, maybe Shaft if the best thing since sliced bread. We're not supposed to judge his career on a couple of losses, so I would only say that is a two edged sword. CCM will have every opportunity to show his mettle this year. He has no excuses. No NCAA issues. Facilities off the chart. Plenty of in-state talent. And a budget to get it done. I just question whether Martin's ceiling is in line with the potential that UT offers. And that doesn't change the reality that Marshall should have been hired over Buzz.

Of course Marshall is a better coach. He's been at it 15 plus years.
Give Martin a little time. Let's see how he develops.

And it's telling he's been at it that long and hasn't landed a better gig.

He turned down South Carolina this last time. And he's turned down a couple of other offers.
He interviewed at UT and the word was he killed it, but Dickey insisted on Buzz. Marshall will be fine and will get a big job before it's said and done.

South Carolina isn't exactly a big time job, and as far as offers you should know how that goes (many who claim offers never actually had them). A guy with his resume should be at a big time school, not bouncing around the mid major level. From things I've heard he's somewhat of an odd guy, tifwiw.

Rob Lewis said the other day, "UT dodged a bullet not hiring Marshall" tifwiw

What's a tifwiw?
Some of these breviations baffle us old codgers.
