You are correct...the team played hard and there was no quit in them...check out the last seven minutes of the game and the chances they had to score...they were not awed by the Swamp...they were into the game...unfortunately we have no QB that can lead us to victory in this type of situation.

You're right. I thought their effort was good and they didn't give up. They can't play.... but at least they didn't quit. A nice change from Dooley's teams.

Not a "moral victory" but it was refreshing seeing the boys fight threw the entire game... They are definitely all in with Butch...

My hope is when we get through the October schedule what will be the psych of this team be then. Will all of them still be committed? Looking at the recruiting list for next season I hope the coaching staff can get in on a big time QB. Our most glaring weakness to date.

I noticed it too. AJ Johnson was trying to bust through the line while Florida was in victory formation at the end of the game, trying to disrupt or cause a fumble. It was refreshing to see them trying even when it was out of reach.

After last year...

I am D*** glad to see some fight in this team. Our defense didn't know how to quit. That is Tennessee football. We're not there yet, but in a few years with improved talent we will be.

Agreed, they didn't roll over. And honestly wouldn't have taken much of a break for it to have had a different ending.

We're getting closer to turning a corner I think.....but we're not there yet.

Nick, without a QB that can change the complexion of a game we will continue to see the same things against ranked teams. Not even your Howling Commandos can save us until we get a QB that can make a positive impact.
