Yeah, I don't see staffing hires being made based on which players may follow. Now, I suspect the ability to recruit would be a prerequisite for most all staffing hires. jmo

Recruiting is a big part of the job of college coaching.

But it is not the driving part.

Player development/preparation/leadership and (for the coordinators) scheme/philosophy/playbook are the deciding parts.
