Playing with fire: Obama's threat to China - Opinion - Al Jazeera English

When it comes to China policy, is the Obama administration leaping from the frying pan directly into the fire? In an attempt to turn the page on two disastrous wars in the greater Middle East, it may have just launched a new Cold War in Asia - once again, viewing oil as the key to global supremacy.

"My guidance is clear," he declared in Canberra. "As we plan and budget for the future, we will allocate the resources necessary to maintain our strong military presence in this region."

Nazi Germany didn't attack us, but they did declare war on us. You obviously have no grasp on WWII history.

So, Saddam Hussein running his mouth was justification enough for the death of 5,000 American service members and the expenditure of hundreds of billions of dollars?

Hitler was running his mouth, he didn't attack us!


Also Irans leader is just running his mouth about Israel being wiped off the face of the map. So Israel should just sit back do nothing till he attempts it

Actually German U-boats sunk countless US ships supplying the allied war effort, before we entered.

Back on topic. It's not our responsibility to protect foreign nations.
