FOR YOUR VIEWING PLEASURE - A GRAPHIC COMPARISON
MICHIGAN'S SOS 31 is PATHETIC - worse when viewed like this in comparison. The "Michigan did not play anybody with a chance to lose" truth is obvious.

Does TENNESSEE #2 SOS at 11-1 get the spot vs 11-1 MICHIGAN - a team that played the most pathetic 31st SOS in power 5 history.

I guess more important would be our SOS and Michigan's SOS after the next 2 games. Ours will surely drop and theirs will obviously improve but how much?

I look at it this way, let any of the teams that are supposed to be our competition for a spot on the final 4 play our schedule, PLAY BAMA, LSU at LSU and UGA at UGA and tell me you think they won't have 3 Losses.

Our ooc opponents aren't great but Pitt would be favored against at least 9 of Michigans opponents.
Ball St and Akron would have been favored against all their ooc opponents. And the game against UTM was a way to boost a UT schools athletic budget.

I agree with everything said here about SOS and I think we would beat Michigan on a neutral field.

The only thing Michigan has going for it, unlike TCU or us, they really haven’t had any close games and because of their weak schedule it is hard to gauge how good or overrated they are. Even in their game against Maryland, I think they were a hair the whole 2nd half. I would like to see a replay of that game since I really don’t know much about it. PS Corum had 2 touchdowns in the game against Maryland and almost 250 yards rushing.

It would be awesome to play Michigan and have Milton come in and throw the winning touchdown on a 60 yard throw.

I did read a little in a Michigan and Ohio State forums. The Ohio State fans seem to think they don’t belong in the playoffs if they can’t beat Michigan at home. The Michigan fans believe as long as it is a close game, then they should be in the playoffs.

If Tennessee makes the playoffs I believe they would match up with Ga to eliminate the possibility of an all SEC championship game.

If Michigan loses and everyone else wins out, I think it will be 1GA vs 4UT then 2OSU vs 3TCU

The only other team that can come close is USC. They have a little bit tougher road than TCU.

Just give it a few weeks and all this sorts itself out. If Tennessee wins out, they are in. All mental gymnastics are not needed. Win out and the odds are in Tennessee's favor all day.

Put aside results on the field for a minute, and strength of schedule, and all that. If there’s an element of theater to all this beyond the computer models, then there’s a clearly desirable result. You give one of Stroud or Hooker the Heisman, and then you put OSU and Tennessee at 2 and 3 and let them settle it.

This is what the committee is supposed to be evaluating and looking at. They did that for week 1, but then caved to media pressure last week. We will see what happens in the coming weeks.

No, the playoff committee likes to spread out the conference teams and avoid early rematches. See last year with bama - uga.

I'd like a shot at playing TCU.

Personal reasons., my old LT in the Army is a Horn Frog grad and I would love nothing more than to hit him up and chuckle.

I agree with that order. I want Dawgs in finals, not semi-finals

Not sure if committee will allow all-SEC final, but a semi-final with Stroud vs HH would be a TV bonanza.

The source was trolling but another fear is perhaps a 12-1 Clemson getting in over Tennessee. I know their SOS is trash and they looked horrible against Notre Dame but the whole "Conference Championship" thing is going against us.

Even though it’s true that TCU won by 10 to K-State, that score is deceiving. TCU was down 18 in the 1st half. TCU needed K-State 1st and 2nd string QB’s to get hurt. K-State was on there 3rd string QB and couldn’t move the ball. If Martinez or Howard don’t get hurt TCU losses and losses big.

This is why the SEC needs to get rid of Divisions. It should be the Top 2 teams every year playing for conference championship. It’s crazy that LSU is the 3rd best team in the conference but yet playing for the SEC championship.

IN CASE OF A MICHIGAN WIN OVER tOSU here is the OSU record for comparison at #8 SOS

T OHIO STATE UNIV RANK 8 SOS TOSU at least played ND as one decent OOC game

Good points - TCU has 3 wins by one TD or less and 3 by 10 points. I think a healthy K State will take them out with a do over in the Big 12 Championship
