Just an idea I thought of the other day. It keeps the BCS system, but adds a playoff. I'd like to hear opinions on whether you think it will work or not.
All BCS bowls are playoff games. No BCS NC game like the past two years.
Sugar
vs
Rose
Orange
vs
Fiesta
Or any combination, doesn't really matter.
Winner of Sugar/Rose match up plays the winner of Orange/Fiesta match up for the NC.
So pretty much the conference championship winners make it in with Non BCS conference champs getting at large bid if possible.
So this year it would have looked like this.
Round 1
Sugar
Florida
vs
Utah
Rose
USC
vs
Penn St
Fiesta
Oklahoma
vs
Ohio St
Orange
Va Tech
vs
Cincy
Round 2
Florida
vs
USC
Oklahoma
vs
Va Tech
Round 3/National Championship
Florida
vs
Oklahoma
This will produce more money to college football while still keeping the BCS system and bowl games, which makes college football unique. What do you guys think?
