If Alabama were to beat Georgia in the SEC title game. Would a 12-1 Georgia team get in over an undefeated Washington team and an undefeated FSU and Michigan or Ohio St ? I know Greg Sankey would lobby hard for 2 SEC teams in the playoff.

I don’t know that they would. That OOC SOS might be a deal breaker. Same for Michigan, even w/o the all of the sign stuff.

An undefeated P5 champion would never get left out in favor of a 1-loss team that didn’t win their conference. It’s not even a guarantee that a 12-1 SEC champion gets in this year.

I would find it hard to believe a 12-1 SEC champion would be left out. But I do agree that some serious dominos would have to fall for the SEC to get 2 teams in.

The CFP will do all it can to ensure UM is in. Think of the additional viewers UM will bring as a result of all of this.

yeah they made it clear that it was an NCAA only issue, and they have no part in enforcing or enacting anything.
