Players and recruits do read these boards. This negativity won't change a thing. Butch Jones is our coach and we will all have to accept that at some point. So whether it be today or September 1st, 2013. GO VOLS!

Sir, with all due respect I never said anyone did not have their own opinion. You can say whatever you want. I was just reminding them that players and recruits(myself included) are on this board regularly and the negativity really doesn't help.

Look I agree with you but as I reluctantly climb on that Bandwagon it's really hard to hear ...Don't say anything because people might read it as I am receiving letters from the AD asking for my money.....again
Sure feels like "shut up and write the check" and By the way we have no reason to think Hart and Cheek read these boards but we have every reason to think the new coach will?

I think the problem is people are still trying to get their head wrapped around this hire and taking a wait and see approach. It doesnt make sense to alot of fans as well as some recruits I would imagine. Give the fans enough time and they will jump back on board and support the Vols like a majority of them have their entire lives.

Sooner or later this fanbase needs to come together. Winning would do it... please let us win...

If recruits read message boards and it effects their decision i would in turn question their decision making ability.

I doubt we will lose any recruits because of what an anonymous person posts on a message board.

Agreed. We are much more likely to lose them because of the product we put on the field and the coaches we put on the sidelines.

You do know that I was recruited by CDD and staff to play for this fine University, correct? If all goes as planned I hope to be a part of this team in the coming years, but thank you for your opinion, sir.

Encouraged to attend as a "preferred walk-on" is what he said before. Good luck landing a role on the team.

UT has a passionate and at times scary fan base and players would do well to put on their thick-skin before venturing into the forums.

Coaches...who cares what they read. They are paid to come here and win for UT.
