Please Explain This If You Can

Bammers at it again! They tied for 2nd with Auburn when their record was 4-4 vs. AU's 6-2.

Whenever I go over there, the consesus seems to be "We hate them, their coach and their players are criminals. But they win games"

But that is weird when people on Tennessee's board have less confidence in the Vols winning the east than the Bammers do.

What I was trying to point out is the tie for 2nd in the West.

I've got Bama for 3rd in the West and I just cant see UT running the table with all those tough road games.

I agree, if we lose two, we are out of the race. One is acceptable. Althoug a one loss season is still possible for a national title bid... A lot of the experts and a lot of people out there believe USC won't make it through the season undefeated.

67, I'm with you. That's fuzzy math on my end. I guess recent probation and inbreeding are worth a couple of wins???

My favorite? Spurrier finishing behind Vandy. Now THAT would be a reality check!

I'm rooting for it to happen to shut half of ESPN up. Some of their analysts realize that South Carolina's lack of talent will make it an absolute miracle if they finish above .500. The other analysts there are just riding the Spurrier hype train.

Not this season, kiddos.

WOW. usually all I hear from Bammers is how we recruit like mad men, get all the best players in the country, and we only have one national championship to show for it to there 6,872 titles. Oh yeah, and they talk about how there coaching staff can do soooo much better.

Here's my best shot:

Not all Bammer fans are the idiots who spout off on the boards.

Most Bama fans are smart, hard working folks who love football. The most who are in a position to manage a web site are knowledgeable enough to know who has the talent and coaching to do well in the SEC.

It's the morons who get the attention, just like anything else.

Thats not really a big issue if you ask me. I called in on Jimmy Hyams radio show yesterday and talked about the road schedule with John Adams.

I pointed out since 2000, we have only lost 3 road games, and just 2 since Casey took over as starting QB. We have played better on the road over the past 4 or 5 years. Im glad we have our tougher games on the road. The last 2 years we have had this tough road schedule, we won 10 games in both 2001 and 2003. We ahve won at the Swamp twice, once at Miami, unbeaten at Bama, won at ND. The road schedule is irrelevant if you ask me.

If a team owns you the past 10 years you always think they're going to win every game . . .
