Please help Vol fan while in Atlanta

Hey all, I will be in Atlanta NYE for the Chick-Fil-A Bowl. I would like to know the biggest and best sports bar which is closest to the Georgia Dome to be able to watch the UT vs Memphis basketball game at 4pm EST. I would also like to be able to hear the game while watching while viewing the end of the OU vs Stanford Sun Bowl on another large LCD.

I greatly appreciate anyone that has any info to help!!!

I see that there is a Taco Mac at the dome. They usually have games on and have pretty good food. I think I may bring my family and hang out there until the game. Maybe see you there. Go Vols!

The Taco Mac is at Phillips Arena, which is next to the dome. It can be accessed from outside so you don't have to be inside Phillips to get into the Taco Mac.

However, for a pure sports bar, there is an establishment named Stats, about 2-3 blocks away from the dome, that is supposed to be really great.

A short cab ride would get you to the ESPN Zone...

Its further downtown, but try the "Fires of Brazil" steakhouse. Its close to the downtown Hooters, a few blocks up from the Hyatt.

Its an amazing dining experience, to say the least.

Bring your wallet though. They are fond of their grub.

Hey all, I really appreciate the info. I am not sure about the ESPN zone. I don't care to give them any $. Since, they don't care for us. I try to watch as little as ESPN as possible. Which is hard. I wish the SEC would have landed the big tv contract with Fox. I think the Taco Mac is the ticket. Especially, if it is the closest to the Georgia Dome.

Is the Taco Mac and Stats place reasonably priced? Also, what is everyone doing afterwards? I hear several will go to Bourbon to watch the ' peach drop ' .

The Taco Mac is good. Personally, Im a fan of Jocks and Jills.

If you've never been, gotta have a steak from Bone's Steakhouse in Buckhead. Ummm.........Good.

The UT Alumni are having the Big Orange Tailgate tour at fanfest. They always have food and drinks. They say that there will be a big screen TV with the basketball game on for us to watch and that part will stay open just for vol fans until that game is over.

What time is fanfest, where, and how much? Are you sure they will be showing UT vs Memphis basketball game? Thanks!!!!!!!
