I told a friend of mine that Dane Bradshaw was Mr basketball in the state of Tennessee, but that he only averaged in the 10 point per game figurein high school. He told me I had rocks in my head that no way he could be Mr Basketball with those kinds of numbers. Anybody know? Thanks in advance.

HOLY COW. How did he get those kind of accolades with such ordinary numbers?
Every team in the state has someone on their team with comparable stats. He obviously had some outstanding supporting help on his high school team. I haven't seen anything outstanding about him as a Vol. Maybe he will improve.

I will say that Bradshaw plays hard, at least from the times I have seen him play on TV. If you look at the state of TN there are some great players there, problem is they are now leaving to go elsewhere. From what I can remember, the last timeTN was winning was during the Wharton,Harris,Baby Shack, Victor era. If you look at the starting 5 that year I would say that with exception of maybe 1 they played high school ball in TN. Rivals.com has several players from TN on their top 150 list, and I would venture to say that some are not coming to Rocky Top. I believe our coaching staff needs to do a better job of evaluating talent not only in our state, but across the board. Personally, I played with two current NBA starters in high school and I can tell you that TN never really considered either one of them. I am sure their were other factors playing into that, but my point is I think there needs to be a better judgement of talent. Statistics are nice for the media guides, but when you really get down to the game, can this guy come in and make a significant impact on the TN program. Just my .02 cents....

He's awful. His free throws that he missed ended up costing us the game at the end. But so did alot of other things. He made turnovers, missed some easy shots.
