Vandy got the 1st down. I was celebrating at home ans we were laughing at how vandy got a bad spot. When it got reversed everyone at my house thought it was the right call. We figured the defense would bow up and give up 3 and we'd win in overtime. Did think after giving up 60 yard on the drive we would give up another 33 yards. Who does that? The play call fake jump pass didn't beat us. It;s the wide open receivers all over the field.

I just watched it again, and that was possibly the worst spot I've ever seen. The guy wasn't even close to where the ball ended up.

It's not where he is, it's where the ball is when he is considered down. Watch it again and tell me where the ball is. You can't. Also, if that would have been on the goal line, would they have given him the touchdown? How can they if they can't see the ball. It might have been a bad spot, but there is no way they overturn that without indisputable evidence. And there was none. They took a guess which makes it a bad reversal. All things considered though, we deserve that loss with the way we played.

I'll concede it was a bad spot and it was right to be overturned. But what about:

1. The two generous spots on the plays before it.

2. The delay of game they got away with earlier in the drive. Would have been 2nd and 12 backed up deep.

3. The facemask penalty we got when the Vandy offensive player was bringing our defender down by the facemask while our player barely held on to his.

All the calls were on the game winning drive and seriously impacted the game. Combine that with poor quarterback play and awful offensive play calling and there goes your season.

I will agree the letter of the law may have been "disputable" but everybody knows he got it. The spot was bad and I don't want to complain about a bad call not being upheld.

When we beat Vandy two years ago the letter of the law would have called the ball dead after Eric Gordon's int because the ref blew the whistle. The truth was he earned it and it was right to allow the TD.

There are plenty of bad calls to complain about yesterday, just not this one.

Two wrongs do not make a right. I would have been pissed if I were Vandy on this one.

A good football team does not allow the officials to dictate the game. How any one can say the refs lost this game when they quarterback throws for under 60 yards, and you have 3 turnovers and absolutely idiotic penalties, I'll never know.

One day we'll have enough talent that one or two bad calls in a game won't matter, that time isn't now unfortunately.

I seriously can't believe everyone is still arguing about the 4th down call. The guy's entire body was almost across the the first down markers and you want to argue that you couldn't see the ball. I know we didn't want to lose to Vandy but take off your orange tinted glasses and be realistic for a sec

I can get over the overturned spot, the fake field goal won't be that easy to forget

The fake fg was what blew my mind. On 4th and 19? Just kick it and see what happens. That showed me he can't manage a game. We were winning at that point.

As it turns out if he had kicked it and made it it would not have mattered. I would rather have seen a pooch punt than the fake but it did not affect the outcome of the game.
