I heard a rumor that the Titans were going to wear an old Oilers uniform for a couple of games this year...please say it isn't so.:no:

it's the 50th anniversary of the AFL's founding. In honor of this league that joined to form the current NFL, the old, original eight AFL franchises are each going to play 3-4 games dressed in their old unis from the 60s w/ their old logos. That means the broncos' brown and whites, the chiefs in their dallas texans unis, Jets as NY titans, pats in their old blue and reds w/ the patriot snapping the ball logo, the bills old unis, the raiders old unis, and finally yes the titans will dress some games in their old baby blue unis from the 60s w/ the blue helmet and white derrick logo.

It's all part of a celebration.

I'm going to get one of the old throwback anniv. jerseys, maybe several from different teams. I'm not sure who to get from the titans/oilers though...

Fantastic. I still have an old Oilers ball cap and t-shirt from high school when I was growing up in the Houston area. I wish all major sports would do this more often.
