Pocono is one of the tracks that most on here have voiced disdain for, but let's see if there are any others who do like it.

I like it because it is different, three distinct turns that challenge the car set-up efforts like no where else, it drives more like a road course including shifting gears (again), and includes high speed with drafting an issue. Also there have been several close finishes.

Those who deplore "cookie cutter" tracks should be enthralled with Pocono.

I love watching the races at Pocono. It is a fast track with corners that are fast and slick with little banking. I feel like pocono actually shows who has the most car control because of the corners.

I like it. I just think you would see pretty much the same race in 400 miles. Especially since they go there twice. It would be better if 1 car didn't seem to check away from the field all the time.

The track is unique for sure, but it's just not interesting. I can only really think of a couple of memorable Pocono moments and those are both big wrecks. (Park end over end in 02 and Kahne almost going over the wall last year). I would like to see if indy cars could put on a better show at Pocono than NASCAR. They definitely make Indianapolis much more interesting to watch.

Its okay but I don't think it deserves two races a year. I think shortening the race would be a better idea as well, the truck race last year was pretty good.

Pocono is good if you're looking to take a nap.

I wish they just had one race or both races were just 400 miles. I like the fact that it's not a 1.5 mile cookie cutter though.

Did you say shift again? Has NASCAR changed the rules to allow for shifting at Pocono? I think that is one thing that hurt the racing there the past several years.

Also, Dynamite - there have been some great Pocono moments over the years. Finishes and crashes......

1986 Summer 500 - 3 wide photo finish between Tim Richmond, Geoff Bodine, and Ricky Rudd. Bodine and Richmond swapped the lead every corner that last lap. Truly awesome ending. Richmond was a dominator at Pocono

1987 - Kulwicki has his first win taken away by Earnhardt in a last lap bump and run.

Plenty of good finishes over the years and many big wrecks. Just Youtube Pocono crashes. Petty, Earnhardt, Ricky Rudd, Greg Sacks, Harry Gant, Neil Bonnett - all had big accidents at Pocono over the years.

Have they ever upgraded the track after Sadler's crash from last year? I knew they were planning on it but never heard anything else.

I love it. It's a racer's track. Three different unique turns. I loved even more before shifting and when equipment was less durable. That really seperated the men from the boys.

Sometimes it's a boring race, but the long straightaway makes for breathtaking speed. I usually hate potential fuel milage races, but this is on I dig.

I am well documented as being in favor of shortening all but a handful of key races, Daytona 500, World 600, Talladega 500, Brickyard 400, Southern 500. All others be 500k at longer tracks, 250k at short tracks.

1 400 mile race would be fine. the racing is generally decent on restarts, but once they get strung out it gets boring.

it's a track like Indy; built for open wheel. NASCAR has adapted well though.

I personally like it as it offers something completely different. Would like to see one of the races lowered to 400 though. Also would be nice if both dates weren't in consecutive months.

It's unique, a drivers track, not a fan track. It should probably only get one race a year. Several others only need one race too.
