It truly is amazing that every team is one or max two spots from being the same position ranking between the AP Poll and AFCA Coaches Poll. That is with the exception of one team....ridiculous.

Seems like the Vols are also the only team that won and moved down in either poll.

But... polls really don't mean that much right now. The only ones to blame at this point are the Vols and particularly Banks for the UF loss. I think even Hubbs criticized his 1st half game plan. Things happen. If the Vols keep winning and continue to get better then the polls will take care of themselves.

Win out and you’re in the final four. That’s a big if. Otherwise, polls don’t matter.

Not worried about it, Like you said, win and everything takes care of itsself. And for the first time in many years. Every team on our schedule looks completely beatable.

Not much difference in 18 and 22.
Agree! and as long as we take care of business this week and get healthy (UK/GA, Bama/TaM, LSU/Miz), there should be some further correction in next week poles...then, if we're good and healthy w/ a rowdy crowd for TaM, and get that W, no reason we won't be back up in top 15 range. Not terribly worried about being 18 or 22nd right now...still plenty of games left.

Polls don’t matter you beat Bama away and Georgia at home and you can get in the playoffs. Somehow winning both those and losing to a team like A&M or Kentucky would be the most Tennessee thing ever

What's really crazy is last night I was looking at the SEC power rankings......we came in at #3 in two of them, but #7 and 8 in the others.

We have a chance to make our case. In the only game most people watched, we looked terrible on offense and defense.

I think Florida's showing against Kentucky gave the UT haters like Brett McMurphy and Pat Forde types a reason to leave the Vols off their ballots. The people who know, the coaches, placed us in the proper spot. Check out where your favorite UT hater placed us.

The coaches generally don’t watch all the games (or even most outside of the teams they play) either. A lot of the coaches are likely to still use grad assistants, etc, that they hand those duties off to.

That's Missouri getting a good jump for being 5-0. The could very well drop the next 6 in a row.
