For some reason tonight, I kept having this strange feeling that we were never out of the game. I sorta didn't have that feeling against the Gators, but tonight I felt we could, and probably would, do it!

At halftime I was just praying for a field goal or ANYTHING to get that goose egg off the scoreboard.

I lost ALL faith in the first half and feel terrible for it. RC and our defense kept picking me up and up and up and up though. Now I'm all jazzed up and don't know what to do.

i'm gonna have to say...I didnt, I felt like turing it off, but I had a ton of homework to do so I figured I'd finish it watching the game.

Umm, I'm guessing we have several dillusional fans or those with revisionist history.

I gave us 0% chance at half time to come back, we had shown NOTHING up to that point. I don't know what happened to cause our offense to score more points in the second half than we had the whole SEASON up to that point, but it worked. Huge huge comeback for the VOLS, I hope this gets us headed in the right direction. Better late than never I guess.

But I kept watching.

CRAP!

I voted wrong. Meant YES/NO

Yes - gave up HOPE of winning

No - did not give up HOPE of fighting to the end.

Win or lose, our second half was so important to the season that winning seemed like icing on the cake to me.

I have quite a few Vol friends I was watching the game with, and I have to say, I was pulling for UT considering how much smack LSU fans were talking. They were ready to polish the SEARS trophy for the NC!

After the first half, it seemd pretty bleak except for when LSU screwed themselves out of some points at the end of the half.

While I didn't think UT would necessarily come back and win the game, that was a blunder that had "come back and bite em' in the ass" written all over it!

That was the best college game of the year so far! Better than Texas vs. Ohio State! :jawdrop:

In all the years I've watched the Vols I have learned to never give up (miracle in South Bend) and never get comfortable with a lead until the final gun sounds.

I never give up on the VOLS. No matter how bad things are going in the first half, the VOLS usually come out in the 2nd half and get the job done. They have always been a 2nd half team for the most part. Once they put Clausen in, I knew that we had a chance to win.

I have to admit, I was crying in my coke can before the 1st half was even over. My husband is an LSU fan and I couldn't stay in the room with him. I went downstairs while he stayed upstairs watching the game on our huge TV.

I had stopped watching the game, only flipping to it every now and then. But, when Rick came in and I heard the faint sound of Rocky Top coming from the upstairs TV, I turned it back on and cheered in silence while our Vols made the best comeback in recent college football memory.

Rick's character and leadership are commendable and our Defense is second to none.

I just hope the rest of the season is much less stressful than these last 2 weeks! :clapping:
