I just want to gauge what everyone thinks.

I hope he follows his head and not his heart. USC just got thier 5* QB in Barkley. I just don't think it makes sense for him to go to USC. He's got to know he can come in here and be the big man on campus. I think (hope) he's a vol with my head and heart.

I am the only one so far who has voted FL, I say he goes there because CUM promises him, just to take from us

I think since he didnt commit with baliy thta he might not be as USC as everyone thinks he might not even know where hes going now:dunno:

I really believe he would prefer Southern Cal but he is not a fool. He likely knows UT offers him a quicker route to the playing field on game days. So Cal promises a scholly but his career would be at least 3 years of pine squats before a day on the field. At UT he can compete for starting duties immediately upon arriving on campus next year.

I can't believe that there is absolutely no reason to believe he is going to come to TN (based on recent happenings) yet somehow TN leads in this poll.

there may be a lot of dissapointed people on here July 25th.

The signing of Bryce Brown, Nu'Keese Richardson, Marsailis Teague along with others in just a few short months and some people that call themselves VOL fans are still doubting this staffs ability to recruit.

This. The staff knows whats up. you'd think if they knew Scroggins wasn't coming then they'd invest more in the Grayson visit last week or when ever it was.

He will be in Florida; I say this for the following:

1) If he was going to USC, he would have signed already.

2) Just because his mother’s family is from Memphis, does not mean they are Vol fans. Most folks from Memphis hate UT.


3) Urban Cryer has the following:
  • Pro-style QB coach (Scot Loeffler, much more experience than David Reaves).
  • Better Offensive Line (for now)
  • Better receivers
  • More championship rings
You can book that.

I do harbor a huge hate for the Gators, but I don’t let that hate interfere with logic. Believe me, I hope he signs his LOI with us, but that is just not logical. You have to really look at the facts of the matter.

If he's got any sense he will come to us. Heres why:


1) Good Depth Chart situation
2) Will be surrounded with talent(Brown, Oku, and Richardson)
3) Best Coaching staff in college football
4) Has family close by
5) Fans are crazy over him

refute: He is a competitor and he strives on competition, winning the start in Florida will be much more rewarding than having the start handed to him here.

2) Will be surrounded with talent(Brown, Oku, and Richardson)
impugn: Using great running backs takes away from the passing game. He wants to build stats.

3) Best Coaching staff in college football
impugn: Best all round staff, but very weak QB coach. Why do you think it has been so hard to land a QB?

4) Has family close by
refute: Family is in Memphis; Memphis folks hate UT.

5) Fans are crazy over him
impugn: Fans will be crazy over him anywhere.

Not all Memphis people hate UT. We got a player from Memphis last year in Greg King. Besides it's his family and they would probbally support him wherever he went.



Also of course fans would be crazy over him anywhere but, no one has showed him more love then UT fans.

Also Scroggins can rack up plenty of stats if hes a 4 year starter... While it just might take him 4 years to get the starting job at USC or Florida.
