Even if they set up a play off system, there would be instances in which it were unfair also.
If they choose the conference champs and allow them an automatic bid, then what if a team from the S.E.C. East, such as UGA, lost 4 non conference games. They also lost one S.E.C. game and they representated the S.E.C. East in the Championship game. They then beat the S.E.C. West opponent. They are now the S.E.C Champs.
Would it be fair for an 8 -5 team to go to the BCS, when there are plenty of 9 - 3 or 10 - 2 teams out there? They won the S.E.C.!!!!!!!

Obviously it could go either way but I think it comes down to LSUs defense. If they continue to make big plays then they will most likely win, but without big turnovers Bama takes it.

LSU wins again. They weren't playing their best FB and were rotating QBs. LSU is the better, faster team. Not sure if LSU is playing their A game that they don't win by DD. They played aweful last game in Tuscalooser and still beat them. Plus Miles is starting to own Saban. And it continues.
