This was part of what made Nascar entertaining. The car wars were just as much a part of it as anything. They should give the cars back to the crews also. Police it yes, but let them do their jobs. The mandating this and that took away from it also. Nascar grew arrogant and thought they could do anything, it bite them in the rear. I don't know if interest will ever get back to mid 90's stuff. This might be a step in the right direction though.
