How can you not feel bad for this organization (unless you're in the same division). The Pirates have placed him on the MLB restricted list. Alvarez is refusing to the contract he signed earlier and now wants more money. Just proves that Boras is a D-Bag and this world would be better off without him.

If he signed it already that's his problem. Ain;t no way in hell I'd let him renegotiate. He could just sit his happy ass at home. It's Broas sure but if the kid wanted to play he'd be out there. Especially if he already agreed too and signed a contract.

the Pirates have been one of the most poorly ran franchises in MLB for almost 25 years now. i have no sympathy for anybody but their fans, and even then, they register low on the care-o-meter.

I wish the Pirates were good, I am a fan and love PNC park. If they EVER make it to the world series, that ticket will be a tough ticket to get. Football is #1 in this town, with Crosby coming aboard the Pens and making it to the Stanley Cup, there is now a waiting list for season tickets.

I thought this thread was going to be about financially disadvantaged scallywags who live on ships.
