SEC sues former top execs at Fannie, Freddie - Yahoo! News

Uhh uhh uhh... too bad for Newt. Looks like this is going to be an issue for a while.

The SEC said both firms have agreed to cooperate with the agency and have agreed to admit responsibility for the alleged conduct, without agreeing or denying that they are liable. The firms have also entered into non-prosecution agreements with the agency, the SEC said.

Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae have been propped up by $169 billion in federal aid since they were rescued by the government in 2008.

Why? All he did was give them $1.6 million in history lessons. Should be no problem.

worst part of the debate for him - not just being associated with FMFM but defending it by talking about all the great things GSEs do for us.

the fundamental "conservative" issue for Newt is that his big ideas often involved more government.

Bush then Obama both have massively expanded Executive Power. Time for a POTUS that will reign that in.

But if we get a more "conservative" senate in, won't that help balance the power? We have to do this one step at a time.
