We need to be scouting FCS playoffs for graduate transfers or portal DBs that are future NFL guys. The SEC and just about guaranteed a starting role and chance to increase your Draft numbers on TV weekly. Should be a good draw.

UT hit the portal pretty hard last year and hasn’t looked to help. Although I question who the staff has been playing.

Need more dudes on D-line, pass rushers. You put heat on the QB and the DBs do not look so bad.

Agreed, we have a great Defensive Recruiting Class next year, however I wouldn’t expect a whole lot from True Freshman

We Bring in 6 Freshmen and have a bunch returning… Do tell McCuough, Burrell etc.. to play there Super Sr Seasons elsewhere?

Why would we hit FCS for players? We just finished 10-2 and may be playing in the Orange Bowl. Why don’t we find some guys from UGA who are former 5 stars but aren’t getting playing time because they have 1st rounders in front of them? Let’s get guys who would start for any team OTHER than the one they’re playing on.

While it is easy to conjure up in the mind, don't be sad when it does not happen. At least not to the extent it's being hoped for on this board.

There have been FCS players who ended up being up being really good NFL players and specifically really good DBs like Dominique Rogers-Cromartie. A lot of FCS guys make NFL rosters every year but we have to actually be as good as NFL scouts to find the right ones.

Taylor kid from Warren County (McMinnville, Tn.)...........
Isn’t Taylor a LB, not a CB or S? I’m certainly not opposed to getting transfer LBs either. To me, we absolutely need some quality transfers at CB and S, TE, and LB, and maybe DE/Edge and OT if quality players are available and interested.

Absolutely. I’m not saying to preclude FCS players, I’m just suggesting to start elsewhere. The person I’m specifically thinking of is Nyland Green. We were in it all the way to the end with him and he’s played about 40 snaps on D in two seasons in Athens.
