Interesting to note the leading scorer for Portland St. was 5'6" guard Dominguez on 7 of 10 from 3.

I hope Tennessee fans show up in force for this game coming up, nothing I would like more than to send Mark Few back to the left coast with a big loss.

anybody see where Long Beach State beat Temple pretty handily the other night? I know that has nothing to do with this but Tennessee has lost to teams that lost to Long Beach State and Portland State.

Mind-numbingly dumb form of evaluation, even if it's prefaced by "I know that has nothing to do with this", since the fact its posted still implies it might somewhat.

Temple and Gonzaga are both solid teams.. Just slipped up just like we did..

UT as a team are getting better with each game... I'm really looking forward to this Kansas game.. I hope we stomp them out!

Ranked teams have a bulls eye on their shirt every time they walk into a place to play where they should win. The great teams figure out a way to overcome this and win. We are not at that level.

How is it dumb? When it comes to seeding the committee will look at Tennessee's losses. Gonzaga and Temple won't look quite as strong with those awful losses on their resumes, and that will, in turn, make Tennessee look weaker. It will also hurt Tennessee in the RPI, which will be considered come selection time.

The D is pitiful. Free throws a must too. KU will not be a kind game.

Why? KU isn't playing that well either. The fact that it is in Kansas won't help our boys any, but it's not going to be a blowout or anything.

How is that dumb? We lost to 2 teams that has lost to Portland State and Long Beach State, it has something to do with us. I think what you posted is dumb.

Tennessee has to get better on D, it seems like there is one player that we always let have a career night against us. If we could not let somebody just go off I think we would be alright.

Agreed we have played 2 or 3 teams better than they are right now. For that matter we will play 3 or 4 teams better than anyone we will play in conference.

As of right now.

I'm curious to see how that game is officiated. For some reason, I have the feeling that it will be tightly officiated in Kansas' favor for the most part. I'm really not expecting UT to get many calls in this game.

And great teams can overcome that - but we aren't there yet. I think we were spoiled the last 2 years because we could win when the team had a mediocre or bad game. This team just isn't good enough to overcome a very bad shooting night against a solid opponent. Usually our defense could pull it out, but we just aren't strong on that end yet. And I'm not sure we will definitely have major improvements before tourney time.
