For the most part, I like. I can't watch it by myself, but if I watch it with my wife we laugh.

Since you are in Portland, would you say it is fairly accurate in its humorous portrayal of the town?
Yep.

Specifically, what's the mayor like?
His name is Sam Adams, and he actually plays the mayor's assistant on the show. He's the first openly gay mayor of a major US city. He's done a lot of stuff that I like as a citizen of the city that you would probably hate, but he's been responsible for some major initiatives that have moved the city's power grid off coal and on to mostly wind and hydroelectric sources, started the nation's largest bike lane project which was recently completed, brought MLS to Portland, reduced airborne carcinogens that were highly concentrated in the black and Hispanic communities in the city, and so on.

He decided to call it quits after this term though, years back when he was on the city council, it was revealed that he had a consensual relationship with someone who wasn't quite yet 18. Even with that, he's still been able to maintain an approval rating north of 50%, but it's understandable to not have that floating around the upcoming campaign.

Watching the first few episodes. Trying to decide if I'll keep going

Edit: I did laugh at the bike sketch in episode 2. I can definitely see that type thing going on

Well they mock hipsters in almost every sketch.

I enjoy the show. Jeff Goldbloom plays some good characters on there. One of the best was The Pull Out King (sofa bed store owner) in S3.
