Sometimes you have to look on the bright side and sometimes that bright side can be hard to find. What would you all say the positives are from this game?

First, I think we know we can run the ball. We gained some decent yards on the ground especially compared to last year. Problem was we had to pretty much give up on it since we got so far behind.

Second, there were no major injuries in the game.

Third.....I think we have a better shot a beating Georgia now. I think they will be overconfident and we will have something to prove. I like Tennesse's chances when we are in the big underdog role.

Anything else?

I agree about the running game, freak. I really wish we had come out, and tried to have established it earlier.

I also think our run D is improving. I just knew both of Auburn's backs would have at least 100 yds. a piece, but we held the Caddie to only 95 yards on 24 carries. We also held Ryan Moats to no yardage in the 2nd half last week. Granted it was not against an SEC O-Line, but it is still better than when Dominique Dorsey ran for 125 against us. While I am just as disappointed about this loss as the rest of you, I still like this team, and the direction we are headed. We are just so young in so many key positions this year. Win, lose, or draw, I will never give up on my Vols. They will always be #1 in our books, which is the only thing that counts.

GO BIG ORANGE!!!!!

I want to go on record right now as saying I will NEVER give up on my Vols either.
I don't think expressing disappointment over a loss is giving up on them any more than rejoicing over a win, though. I take EVERY loss hard, especially the SEC ones, but have stayed a fan through thick and thin. A losing Vol team is better to me than a championship team from any other school. One loss does not a season make, but neither does one win. Our guys will bounce back and so will we.

GO VOLS!!

A lot of football yet to be played. I can't tolerate the whole "sky is falling" crap after one game. But they need to fix this, and now.

Amen & agree about them having to fix this NOW... It was sad sad sad in the stands the further the game went on and on and on... and we sit right behind the student section in "G" and it got real quiet... Our team gave it their best but Auburn came to win & they did a fine job on the field... where was our defense I ask you???? We were one of thousands that left before the game was over and walking down Gate 10 we heard, "Interception complete." I shiver at those words that kept us from two td's.... So another week ahead and GA.... Come on VOLS, we've got the faith!!!!!

GO VOLS...

GO BIG ORANGE!!!!!!!!!!!

They didn't give up and quit playing like I've seen several times in the past couple of years when the game started going badly. That's the biggest positive for me

The positives that I see is that this game gave us a big reality check.Once again we have been in the top ten only to be knocked out of it.This is becoming routine. We were not prepared for this game.Yall can badger me all you want but this team needs some serious help.Auburn burned us and showed us just that.Another positive is that our young qb's got to experience defeat in college football.Maybe that will take some of the fear out of them.Hey like we were saying before the season, this was not going to be the year for us .I think getting those first 3 wins kinda put us on a pedestal.I will take an Auburn loss for a Georgia win this weekend.GO VOLSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS.

ARE YOU TAKING MORAL VICTORIES NOW IN STATS OR ARE U JUST HAPPY U MADE A YARD ON A GOOD DEFENSE?

I SAW SOME EGOS HURT.....

WELL, THE KEY WORDS THERE ARE "BIG UNDERDOG" (JUST LIKE VANDY)

IN FACT, HAVING SOMETHING TO PROVE SOUNDS VANDY TO ME TOO!

the only thing Vany has to prove is that they are the dredge of the SEC which they will for the rest of the season

Vandy has nothing to prove ,they have been doing the same thing for years. We are expected to come out and be a great team, because of our past.

U ARE A GREAT TEAM GIVEHIM 6 -

A GREAT 10-2 TEAM, 9-3 TEAM, 8-4 TEAM.

YOU ARE NOT HOWEVER, AN UNDEFEATED NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP CONTENDER, WITH A HEISMAN TROPHY FRESHMAN QUARTERBACK.

YOUR A COUPLE OF REF CALLS AHEAD OF FLORIDA.

I'll take that and be happy.I don't control the destiny of our team so I will be pleased to pull out a 10 win season any year.

10-2 is an .833 season. That would be pretty damned good in my book, especially for having a crappy secondary and freshman quarterbacks.

All I have seen you do is bitch. You have anything to add besides taking shots at UT?

I know that was not directed at me, but when I see that then scroll up to see my avatar first, I get kind of

Coaches always say that you learn more from a loss than from a win. I agree that the running game is still a positive. Hopefully, Ainge learned a few things and won't hang his head - same for those young corners.

The biggest positive is that we have now played a really good team (Florida was not) and we have seen our biggest weaknesses. If we can stay close this week, there is always a chance.

No matter what, Vols are young and should be improving every week. I'll be in Athens rooting them on, how 'bout you?

DEAR JR VOL MAN,

LET THE OTHERS CARRY THE DISCUSSION. U R AN EMBARRASSMENT TO THE PROGRAM, THE FAN BASE, AND COLLEGE FOOTBALL.

AFTER THE FLORIDA WIN, YOU AND EVERY VOL OUT THERE, THOUGHT, ...WE CAN GO UNDEFEATED. U THINK THAT EVERY YEAR, UNTIL THE FIRST LOSS. THEN YOU THINK- WHO CAN WE FIRE- SANDERS? FULMER? HAMILTON? EVEN CHAVIS WAS MENTIONED THIS WEEK.

IF YOU ARE GOING TO LIE -

STAY OFF THE FORUMS, GO SIT AT A BAR WITH YOUR LIES AND TELL THEM TO A BOWL OF PEANUTS.

THIS DISCUSSION IS FOR REAL MEN, NOT JR's

it takes a real "man" like you truth teller to talk smack hidden behind a computer screen... and yes I root for UT to win every game and if that makes me bad for our fan base then I guess every Big Orange fan needs to switch programs , you got any suggestions? you said "we" in one of your responses like you are a UT fan but with fans like that they don't need any enemies, and buy the way the last boy that talked to me that way , well they never found the body.
