The negative? The 2013 season is over. Positive? The 2013 season is over. We've made it through this tough 1st year for butch jones and our beloved vols. This year was nothing special but we did get that big win over South Carolina and our players gave their all for Tennessee this year. I feel for this senior class. They've been through so much and yet they still bleed orange. Now we can watch our great recruiting class come in and hopefully we can see our program rise to the top! Oh and we still haven't lost 8 games in a season and broke our road losing streak. Some positives to look at.

yep. Disappointing season, but we end with a W and don't quit. Beat a top 10 team that is about to beat #6 Clemson.
Vandy stings. Ga stings. 2 plays by Pig in those games and we are 7-5 and bowling, and ahead of schedule.

Definitely hurts to think about. I predicted 7-5...and they should be but alas, it wasn't meant to be.

UGA & USC were fun games to attend. it was a preview of what will return to Neyland under CBJ and his new recruits. The rest of the year was something to forget IMO, even tonights performance.

Positive? The Neal/Lane running back argument is over. The Negative? The Lane/Hurd,etc. running back argument can now begin.

Don't forget 2261 yards rushing as a team, the best performance in that category since, I believe, 2004. 'twas impressive considering how anemic our passing game was this season. Additionally, Rajion Neal finished with 1124 yards on the ground.

Michael Palardy and Corey Miller certainly finished out their careers in grand fashion.

Disappointing season: Yes, because we didn't make a bowl game and we are currently tied for third in most bowl game appearances.

However; U. Southern Cal will pass us up because we aren't in a bowl game and they are.

Also, Nebraska will pass us up because they are in a bowl game and we aren't.

In addition to that, Georgia is now tied with us because they are in a bowl this year and we aren't.

Alabama 61 bowl games.

Southern Cal. & Nebraska 50 bowl games.

Georgia & Tennessee 49 bowl games.

Some day soon the Vols won't be ranked in the bottom 2-3 of the SEC.....I hope to see UT competing for championships in 3-4 years.....the fans have waited for so very long for their team to become relevant once more.
Go Vols
