I started thinking about what effects Cal going to KY will have as far as recruiting and the possibilities are crazy. One good thing is Joe Jackson was either Memphis or UT bound so if Cal leaves we have to be the front runner, but who knows he may just follow Cal to UK. What i was talking about though is that i believe all of Memphis' recruits will go somewhere other than Memphis and maybe UK. I think UK will end up keeping basically everybody they already signed, but who know. With that said look at the possible recruiting class UK could land this year(JUCO's from memphis not included):

PG: G.J. Vilarino #30 ranked PG ***

SG: Xavier Henry #1 ranked SG *****
Nolan Dennis #10 ranked SG ****

SF: Jon Hood #8 ranked SF ****

C: Daniel Orton #3 ranked C *****
Demarcus Cousin #2 ranked C *****

They would land 3 of the top 15 players nationally, and 2 other 4 stars who are highly ranked at their position. The other scary part is Memphis is still for Jon Wall and Lance Stephenson, 2 of the top 3 players in the country.

Stephenson is likely headed to Kansas.

I know that, i just figured i would put him on the list of possibilities. Kentucky is also in the running for the #10 overall C in the country still, and a 4* #21 overall SG. All my point was, was scary good class that UK could bring in this year.

I hope Cally goes to Kentucky! Then we get him twice a year and we get to rub his face in it. Slick will be a good fit here in Lex town. Let him bring his boys too! The SEC east will just get better.

If you're really a Tennessee fan, you don't want Cal to coach at UK.

That's really odd... but smart on Cal's part I guess.

Cal has put that in every LOI contract he has ever drawn up, in his nine years at memphis. Not really that odd, if you think about it. Those players didn't come to play ball at memphis. they came to play ball for cal. Its that easy.

I think that every LOI should have that clause. I don't like the idea of a player being sold one coach and then having to sit out a year or deal with whoever the AD decides to hire.
