No Sparks: In scouting Kentucky, the Vols' coaching staff felt like clamping down on guard Patrick Sparks was the key to beating the Wildcats.
That scouting report proved to be on target because Sparks was held to two points on 1-of-2 shooting with no assists. It's the first time this season in an SEC game that Sparks was held without an assist. He also played just 15 minutes and was benched for much of the second half.
"Give C.J. Watson credit. That's why I put him on Sparks," Pearl said. "We denied him, doubled him, rode him and wore him out."
