That's a decent class. I would like to see one or two more DTs

Yeah...Williams is projected as a DT...I personally think if either of the 2 Gainesville boys are going to make that move it'll be Saulsberry...

I'd still be comfortable if Wright and Carson were the only DT's we landed though

Even though it's probably going to be hard to land this guy but I would like to see us land that Mickey Johnson kid.

Hopefully we add a couple JUCO DT's like a Gary Brown or Maurice Couch or Toby Jackson.

Brown would be my #1 guy on the board without a doubt now that he's gone from UF and enrolled at East Mississippi JC.

Not to be a star watcher, but if this is right then we have four solid 4* commits right now.

I'll agree with the above posters that this is a good class for Dooley considering coaching turnover, uncertainty of the situation, etc.

I would really like to have 3-4 solid DT prospects in this class though, because of the lack of depth.

I could be wrong but I feel like our coaches current recruiting of DL's is pointing to them going to a 3-4...

I feel like the 3 DE's I listed would be good fits for DE in a 3-4 and the 2 DT's could be excellent NG types...

Add those 5 I've listed to Miller, Smith, Hughes, Walls, and Jeffrey (who'll all be around for the next 3 years at least) and you've got a pretty deep and solid 3-4 front

When you say this is per Rivals, do you mean you are projecting using their ranking system or this information was actually posted on Rivals?

I'm projecting that these are the players we get and that's how they will end up being rated by Rivals on NSD...that in turn will lead to us having 1968 total points which would place us at 11th based on the averages of the previous 5 Rivals rankings

IMO Brian Randolph will pick up a 4th star before NSD. He would already have that if he hadnt been injured last season.

I like the list, I'd like to see a few more DT's in there though.

I think Worley will move up to a 4 star. He's on the verge, and a good QB.

Worley is rated 5.5 and the minimum to be a 4 star is 5.8. He would have to make one hell of a jump to reach that 4th star. He may get bumped to a 5.7, but rarely would Rivals take a kid that has been evaluated and bump them 0.3 unless they do something incredible and I just don't see Worley doing anything to get them to make that big of a bump.

Are we still in it for Brandon Fulse, Jay Rome, and Rory Anderson? Assuming we get Clear, I can't imagine we take 4 TEs. Would Dooley drop Andrew Power?

I don't think we would drop Power unless some huge TE prospect wanted to commit like Rome (which is not very likely)

Power is a run blocking TE that Dooley can plug in on power running plays, he'll stay IMO because we have no other TE commit who is as good as he is at run blocking.

If we were to lose on clear (who it appears is leaning to us) we will take Anderson. But I honestly cannot see us taking more than 3 TE's b/c of our other more pressing needs.

He's an excellent blocker but don't short him on his pass catching...

He's no deep threat but I watched his film and he has very good hands...I think he could do well in a tradtitional TE role

I know I just realized that I forgot to mention he is an underrated pass catcher with great measurables:

I am actually very interested to find out the answer to this question. We know that Dooley models much of his strategy on what he learned under Saban, so I'm curious to see if he oversigns players like the Bama coach does. It could be that he has stocked up on all of these 3 stars as insurance with the thought that he can ask them to gray-shirt or look elsewhere if/when he picks up 4 or 5* talent later in the recruiting cycle.

I don't think we'll have the luxury of finding the answer to this question this year, because he'll be earning his salary just to get the class into the top 10-15. If he's successful on the field, however, we may learn the answer in the next year or two.
