It's got to be tough on Holly to see all that talent and how they seem to play to the standard of the team in the other uniform. I have been pretty hard on Simmons and think her play in nothing exceptional and she will not be a leader of this team for that reason. I feel sorry for her in a way. Hard being the only senior on the squad, especially with the talent that is there.

Great coaching job by Holly. Embarrass their tails when they come out of half time flat and doing what they want. Should have been done to Simmons in particular for years. It's a 40 minute game and if they did not learn that against UGA they should have. Team game, not a me - do what I want game. Play as a unit or sit on the bench. If they are ever going to return to the top they are going to have to understand that you have to focus and do your role for 40 minutes at the highest level.

I would strongly recommend all boarders listen to Holly's comments after the game. The issue of playing 40 minutes of intense defense no matter the opponent is not a goal easy to achieve. That is one way that UCONN stands out. There was a comment by IZZY in one of the media interviews where she commented on how very busy a player's life was and for that reason ..failed to listen or to follow game plans or remain intense...

As has been stated by coaches in all college sports - motivating 18-22 year olds and getting results necessary to keep your job...
