D1 Baseball, a plug here for these guys as they do a great job and a subscription is well worth the cost IMHO.....
SEC (9 bids)
SAFELY IN: Florida, Mississippi State, South Carolina, Vanderbilt, Texas A&M, LSU, Ole Miss, Kentucky
ON THE BUBBLE (IN): Alabama
ON THE BUBBLE (OUT): Georgia, Tennessee
No change from last week. Alabama barely holds on as one of the last teams in our field after losing a series at Kentucky to fall to 6-6 in the SEC and No. 58 in the RPI. Still, a respectable 8-9 record against the top 50 (highlighted by quality series wins against LSU and Maryland) keeps the Crimson Tide afloat.
No other SEC team is really that close to the bubble right now, but well throw Georgia and Tennessee into the mix thanks to RPIs in the 40s (though their respective conference records of 4-8 and 3-9 are holding them back right now; they need to get hot). Arkansas, Missouri and Auburn are all outside the top 100 in the RPI and all at least four games below .400 in the SEC, and we dont have conviction that any of them can make the kind of second-half run necessary to play their way into the at-large mix.
Below, well look at whos in, whos out, whos on the bubble for at-large spots, hosts and national seeds. This discussion is weighted much more toward performance to date and remaining schedule than projection based on talent, but its also not intended to show exactly what the field would look like if the season ended today. Were still looking ahead.
National Seeds

ON THE BUBBLE (IN): UC Santa Barbara, Texas Tech, Louisville
Regional Hosts
SECURE TEAMS: The eight national seeds listed above (Florida, Miami, Florida State, Mississippi State, South Carolina, UC Santa Barbara, Texas Tech, Louisville); Vanderbilt, Texas A&M

ON THE BUBBLE (OUT): College of Charleston, NC State, LSU, Oregon State, BYU, Southern Miss, Ole MissON THE BUBBLE (OUT): Texas A&M, TCU, Vanderbilt
