McMinn Co's Cy Ables is 6'5", 205lbs, 4.7 speed in the 40, strong arm, accurate passer, and good runner. Notable stat: 283 yrds passing against McCallie's consistent pass rushing pressure, and 66 yrds rushing. Who are some other QBs in the
state of Tennessee that have similar build and potential for D1 possibility?

Please no one mention Stone, yet. Watching him at jamboree though his arm and accuracy has gotten better since last year.

One player can make the difference. Look at Minnesota and Farve. Of course, the season is only halfway though but still, the difference of one player is undeniable.....The Titans don't have the "one player" and look at them.

Chris Johnson is a "one player" type guy, and doesn't seem to change things.

I beg to differ.

i agree one player can make a "difference" , you said wallace "SINGLE handily" won the game....that is what i COMPLETELY disagree with

He did. Actually, he has single handily one sever in his tenure. The ones he didn't it was all the defenses fault. Just look at his performance against Lipscomb last year.

How the kid from Aloca breaks the state rushing TD record and doesn't earn Mr Football is beyond me.

I must say first to all the athletes for being selected for this prestigious award, congragulations. With only a select few being chosen among thousands of ball players across the state this has to be a great accomplishment, not only for the individual himself, but for his teammates and his school. But to get back to the question at hand, evidently the writers or committee that chooses these athletes saw something more in the wallace kid from giles county than with the other two. No disrespect for the crowder kid from Alcoa, because I know he will go on to do some positive things with football, but Alcoa for years have had a great team, great line and coaching staff. They are killing everybody and for several years have done so. And I would be willing to bet at my oooold age I could have had half of those stats. Then look at the wallace kid from giles county, yeah, I did say giles county, that little county south of nashville on the alabama/tennessee line, which many people have not heard about. If you want to compare stats, then the wallace kid has-right at 3000 yards passing for 34 TDs for a 71% pass rating and doing that while throwing to receivers no taller than 5'9'' tall. Rushed for 840 hards and 10 more TDs and playing sparingly on defense for 21 tackles. So to put it all in perspective, This kid, I must say with the help from a tremendous group of guys, his linemen and receivers has produced close to 4000 yards of offense and accounted for 44 TDs. In all, I feel the committee picked the right athlete for this reward. Congratulations To Bo Wallace and the entire GCHS football team and coaches. Good luck this Sat. vs Greenville in the state championship.

If he is not a top notch top quality QB, then there is not another QB in Tennessee worth going to a DI school! Just look at his performance in the STATE CHAMPIONSHIP. His talent superceedes all others!!!!!

He didn't have any talent around him. That is why he was able to display his running ability. You can also see his precision point passing because all of his recievers were 5'9" or smaller so he had to be on the money.
