Seriously tho...we go back to the 4-3, we have good coaching and we have SOME good players and SOME depth. We just have to wait and see. I am being optimistic...but who knows.

I cant help but believe in what CBJ is doing ..

Well I believe too....he is doing pretty much everything spot on..recruiting, bringing back excitement, branding TENNESSEE, exciting practices (I assume, from the videos), press conferences, etc. I want to believe I truly do, honestly, I just haven't see him handle being down two with two minutes to go...but to his credit, he hasn't had that opportunity to prove that to me. I WANT TO BELIEVE!!!!!

Our D will only go as far as our offense takes us IMHO. We are still not deep enough on defense to be a dominant force like true Vols are use to seeing. We "do" have some very good players on that D though, and if the O can substain drives and keep our D fresh and we can stay healthy, our D can be pretty nasty!

It still hurts... We could've been so good last year.

I believe we'll be better this year. Idgaf what anyone says. Worley looked good in the vandy game. Cp ran the wrong route and Hunter dropped a Td pass that hit him in the helment.

I know this is a video of Big Dan, But our defense looked good when we wasn't in the 3-4. I'll probably get flammed but I believe we will have a top 30 defense.

I think the key will be Brian Randolph and McNeil at safety, Will Daniel Hood play like a SEC DT suppose too?
We know Justin Coleman can make plays in practice, can he make plays in the game? Sapp, Johnson, and Maggitt will be all over the field if all can stay healthy.

The D will be improved, hell it has to be can't be any worse, the D- line will benefit from the changes the most. Sure we will get blown up some but the sacks and qb pressures will be a lot better. Hense improving our overall defense.

Our front seven will be good, the secondary has something to prove and they must come through for the team. :twocents:

Reality, we have two strengths OL and LBs if they stay healthy. Don't know about special teams, but all others are in the bottom third of our conference. Not negative just reality. BTW it cracks me up when posters say well he ran the wrong route or he dropped a sure TD or he was out of position, these happen to every team at some amount in every game. The trick to to minimize them and have a nerver quit attitude.

I think our CB's will make or break us. I think we like to have our CB's Man to Man and pass rush up front. If our CB's loose track of their man or can't keep up, we will be in big trouble IMO.

Agreed. My only concern as we sit right now is multiple injuries at LB or the coaches being unable to scheme around the weakness at one CB spot. Otherwise, I do not think they should have a problem getting back into the top 30 where Wilcox had them two years ago.

I think this is why they have emphasized line play and especially that of McCullers in the middle. If UT gets pressure up the middle forcing the QB out of the pocket then they have halved the field. That would enable all kinds of help to roll to that CB. It would also take away the short middle enabling more LB help in the slant lanes.

That was what I was talking about when I said they needed to scheme to cover the weakness at CB. What should be a strength, the DL, can help take pressure off of an expected weakness, CB.

Nah, you're better off being a Negavol. Here's why.

1. You can always defend yourself by saying you're a realist.

2.If the Vols lose, then you were right all along (e-cred).

3.If the Vols win, just jump on the bandwagon and admit you were wrong(who cares, we're winning).
