Power Brokers Wanting Richt Gone

It was just a matter of time. That's the thing about a program with expectations.

I think he will land on his feet..either with another team or the booth..either way it should help us in recruiting just the talk is probably enough to worry some recruits

He's a nice guy. Hate it for him. And yes, he'll land somewhere but not sure it will initially be an upper level program. He has to get hungry again.

I figure he'd probably sit out a few seasons and do some commentary.

I want to say that I read an article a few years back in which he said when the Georgia gig was up that he would do mission work or something like that.

I think Richt is a great person. I hate it for him. The QB position screwed their team up this year.

One more loss this year and he's gone. If he wins out it'd be hard firing him at 9-3

Losing Chubb put Georgia down for the count. If Chubb was healthy Georgia at worst would probably finish 10-2.

losing Chubb was a bad deal..but I don't understand how they couldn't recruit a QB..we have three that are probably better than anyone on their roster

Not the first time. For such a good program with a great recruiting base, there has not been a great plan at QB. Had to play Tereshinski in 2006 and Joe Cox in 2009, both as seniors with no experience. They had to start Stafford late in 2006 and Murray in 2010, both as freshmen. Same will happen this year and next. No development or plan at QB.

Michel was a highly rated 5* RB. Its not like UGA had some true freshman or unproven backup to Chubb. They also have a healthy Keith Marshall. When Gurley went down last year Chubb stepped in and performed. Richt's problem is the QB situation. He got spolied by having Murray for so long.

A good sign that he will soon gone is the fact that the Tennessee people hope they keep him.

Kirby Smart > UGA
Mark Richt > USCe

If UGA fires Richt to hire Kirby Smart it would be right on par with UT firing Fulmer for idiot boy Kiffin. Nothing Kirby Smart has done makes me believe he is any more capable than Muschamp or Dooley. Saban runs that defense, his defensive coaches have not looked that great on their own which makes it plainly obvious that he is the one running the show.
