Not sure if this is the right forum to post this or not so please merge if necessary. Today I found out that my liver function test came back elevated so they want to send me to get more bloodwork done. Just asking for prayers that it's nothing serious and it just stems from my gallbladder removal surgery from last week. Also asking for advice, if anyone on here has had anything similiar happen to them. Thanks guys.

Praying for you. Not a doctor, but those level readings can be temporary. I have had a higher than normal reading, and they came back normal on a second test. I have a friend who had high readings as well, and while he adjusted his lifestyle for a while, I don't believe it was a long term issue. But it is something that the doctors want to continue to monitor.

I'm not really sure. They just told me that some of the things on the liver function test were elevated. They weren't real specific.

Elevated enzymes might be due to a fatty liver. That wouldn't be a horrible diagnosis. Good luck.

Probably just the AST and ALT. Heard this from my doctor once. It went something like this: Doc - Stop drinking so much. Me - Ok. Liver enzymes improved on their own.
