Brother Of Baylor Head Coach Art Briles Dies Of Head Injury

Baylor Athletic Director Ian McCaw issued a brief statement Wednesday evening.

“Our deepest condolences go out on behalf of Baylor Nation to the Briles family following the loss of Coach Art Briles’ older brother Eddie earlier today. We’ve seen an immediate and overwhelming outpouring of love and sympathy. We ask Baylor Nation to support Coach Briles and his family by respecting their privacy as they mourn their loss,” he said.

Terribly sad to hear, and after losing his parents the way he did (although it was long ago). Prayers for Art and his family.

O Lord, we have a friend in the football ranks here who is torn up with grief. We know you are there, but sometimes we cannot see past sorrow and tears. Be with him, Lord... guide him through these dark days and bring your light to his life, so that he may see your goodness, even in his mourning.
