"Sidewalk" Gamecock fan, but spent a couple of semesters at in Knoxville post MS degree. Just wanted to come by and wish you folks well vs Vandy and in your bowl game.

Despite a couple of setbacks, your guys still have had a remarkable season, one that most of the other fanbases in the East are envious of. The Vols have a lot to be proud of this year. Getting the Bama monkey off your back was huge and I think most every SEC fanbase was pulling for you guys that night. As for last Saturday, SC simply caught lightning in a bottle, and there's no shame in that from your perspective. The previous week vs UF, I said "Sometime it just isn't your night", and I think that applies to your last game. None of us on the other side saw it coming either. Keep your heads up, you've got a lot of football to play and a lot left to accomplish.

But I really wanted to come by and say how extremely sorry I am for the injury to Hendon. Believe me, us gamecock fans still vividly remember the devastating injury to Lattimore and how ultimately it changed the trajectory of our program. So we get how yall are feeling right now. All of us love the sport of College football, and while "injuries are part of the game", nobody wishes an awful injury like that on anybody. Hooker has been electric to watch this year. I hope the young man makes a full recover and lights up the NFL. And honestly, if I were a Heisman voter, he'd still be on my ballot. But regardless, as Lattimore showed SC fans, no matter where you end up or what you accomplish, you can still positively impact people with your words and actions. This is the type of young man and player I think Hooker is. THAT's the true beauty of this sport. He represents Tennessee Football very well.

And don't wouldn't worry too much about QB1 at Tennessee going forward. You appear to be in good hands with Milton. Good lord that young man has a cannon!! I thought he decappitated one of our fans on one of those throws out of bounds! LOL.

Cheers and that's it. For those of you that cross pollinate the Rant, please keep us updated on Hookers recover. We're rooting for him.

Thanks for coming by and the nice words.

Last Saturday night was a great reminder to keep college football in perspective. Thank God Sunday always comes after Saturday to hammer that perspective home.
