Not being a smartass, but if it's God's will that he faces the trial of dealing with MS, what do you pray for?

If you're going to pray then why not do it for everyone affected by MS instead of just one guy? Maybe if they drove a car

For the family?

OK. So like to comfort the family? That makes sense.

@ Littlecat, my point is that God gives us trials for us to face and so if someone is praying for Bayne's health they are asking God to reverse something He thought Bayne should endure. Do people believe prayer works this way?

Do you really believe that's how God works?

-His strength in dealing with the ordeal; both physical and spiritual
-Wisdom in dealing with the ordeal; such as when to make a difficult decision in regards to his career
-An inner calm in a time of such turmoil
-That his ordeal may be used to glorify God; maybe introduce some who do not yet know or believe in Him
-That his ordeal may be used to further the research, treatment, and progress on an effective 'cure' (not the best word for MS, but you get the point being made), much like Pat Summit is doing for Alzheimer's/Dementia

So young! Thoughts and prayers go out to him, his sister and family for their health and safety.

God gives us all things to go through. But I think we can be safe in praying for someone to get better and stay healthy. If you're saying that God wants Bayne to suffer and endure this pain, then I agree to a certain extent (But God doesn't do these things to watch us in pain and take pleasure in it).

It's not some sort of test where if he passes he'll be healed. I simply pray that if its God will he can maintain a level of normalcy in the face of a terrible situation.
